Where did the weekend go? Jeez. On Friday, I worked from home a bit, and then met my Dad for his birthday. I asked him to take a photo of me for this blog, and he was mystified by my smart phone. He better get used to it, because I hear he got one for his birthday. I can’t wait to see him learning it. “Mayday, Mayday!!!! Bec, how do I make a phone call??!!” – Who uses their phone to make calls?
Saturday, I did/tried something new. I ate something sweet for breakfast. Well, right after a bacon and egg burger that is. At the Subi Farmers market, that MasterChef guy has a stand, and he sells gourmet crumpets smothered in honey. I generally don’t like either of these things, but when I took a bite of my friend Sharne’s, my pupils dilated and I started slobbering all over myself. I ran toward the crumpet stand, leaving a puff of smoke in my wake. It was $5 for two, and I got the rosemary scented honey. It was awesome. I had a nap afterwards, because that afternoon, I was attending Michelle and James’ wedding. The wedding was awesome, great venue (Red Herring) and Michelle looked great.
Sunday was a nice warm day, and Kathy and I went to Six Senses Thai in Subi, lunch there is $12.90 and it’s so fresh it’s ridiculous. I had a penang curry with crispy duck breast. It’s BYO, need I say more?
MONDAY: I’m at work. Pout.
